IITTL Team met with Digital Fabrication Group made up of UNT and TWU collegues to discuss Digital Fabrication. IITTL Demonstrated several 3-D printing designs for the group in the Design Research Lab.

|June 25, 2013||ISTE Fab @ School presentation: STEM Learning Projects- Panelists shared STEM learning projects in which K-12 students designed games, created e-textile products, explored STEM careers, used probes/models and participated in Fab @ SChool.|

|March 2013||A Publciation in Science Education International,the journal of the International Council of Associations for Science Education (ICASE). ICASE is an orgnanization with a huge network of science education associations, institutions, foundations and companies, facilitating communication and cooperation at the regional and international level.|

The University of Virginia received $300,000 grant from the Governor of Virginia to partner with local schools for the first lab school in the U.S. Its mission is to teach advanced manufacturing technology.

Preservice teachers visited the Discovery Park Fab Lab. They were challenged to use digital fabrication to create a container that would hold the most tootsie rolls when lifted by a windmill. The winning team's container held 82 tootsie rolls. Click to Watch Video.
Fab @ School's new home is now located in Discovery Park in the engineering building. IITTL, housed in the Department of Learning Technologies, received a 3-D Printer.
