September 23, 2016  UNT Willis Library Introduced " The Factory" to students, staff and faculty. They offer workshops throughout the semester on how to master 3D modeling, 3D printing, Animation, Arduino, Circuitry, DSLR Photography, Go Pro, Laser cutting, Ocultus Rift VR, Photo Editing, Robotics, Soldering, Weaving, Web Desing and more. December 15, 2015 On December 15th, key personnel from the American Innovations Grant Project's Texas Branch met at Sanger Middle School in Sanger, TX to discuss plans for purchasing and installing 3-D printers at that site.

Spencer Austin represented IITTL and the North Texas Digital Fabrication Group (NTDF) at the Denton Mini Maker Faire held at the Civic Center in Denton, TX. He performed demonstrations that showed how 3-D printers work and the kinds of items they can produce. He also spoke with many other local "makers" about digital fabrication and a wide range of other related topics.

Spencer Austin is IITTL's new Research Assistant. He will be mentored by Dr. Tyler-Wood and will work closely with her on the American Innovations ProjectSpencer received his Bachelor of Arts in History from UNT last May and is currently applying for graduate programs. Welcome to the IITTL team, Spencer!

August 26, 2015 Dr. Tyler-Wood presenting at the Open House Introduction to the American Innovations in Digital Fabrication Project. Over 60 people attended this exciting event including principals and teachers from the Sanger Independent School District. IITTL Directors attended Sanger ISD Convocation located in Sanger, TX. The purpose of this visit was to meet Sanger ISD teachers and introduce future project initiatives. Dr. Tandra Tyler-Wood (left) made opening remarks and introduced the IITL team.
