IITTL Team met with Digital Fabrication Group made up of UNT and TWU collegues to discuss Digital Fabrication. IITTL Demonstrated several 3-D printing designs for the group in the Design Research Lab.

Expanding ideas with Fab @ School in the Learning Technologies Lab. 

June 25, 2013  ISTE Fab @ School presentation: STEM Learning Projects- Panelists shared STEM learning projects in which K-12 students designed games, created e-textile products, explored STEM careers, used probes/models and participated in Fab @ SChool.

STEM Youth Camps in Dublin ISD, were directed by Jennifer Miller, UNT doctoral student.

April 10-12, 2013 

Dr. Tandra Tyler-Wood conducted an on-site evaluation visit at UVM. 

March 2013  A Publciation in Science Education International,the journal of the International Council of Associations for Science Education (ICASE).  ICASE is an orgnanization with a huge network of science education associations, institutions, foundations and companies, facilitating communication and cooperation at the regional and international level. 
March 4-5, 2013 

The University of Virginia received $300,000 grant from the Governor of Virginia to partner with local schools for the first lab school in the U.S. Its mission is to teach advanced manufacturing technology. 

February 12, 2013 

Preservice teachers visited the Discovery Park Fab Lab. They were challenged to use digital fabrication to create a container that would hold the most tootsie rolls when lifted by a windmill. The winning team's container held 82 tootsie rolls. Click to Watch Video.

December 2012 

Fab @ School's new home is now located in Discovery Park in the engineering building. IITTL, housed in the Department of Learning Technologies, received a 3-D Printer. 

March 5-9, 2012  SITE Annual Conference was held in Austin, Texas. Several UNT faculty, associates and students presented findings from IITTL research activities. 
February 28- March 2, 2012  ITEST Summit was held in Washington, D.C.

Conducted a site visit to Albemarle Public Schools in Charlottesville, VA. 

November 7, 2011  Students from the 2011 Chinese Delegate participated in Fab @ School activities in Discovery Park. 
September 27, 2011  LTEC 4100 Field Trip to Discovery Park where preservice teachers completed a Fab @ School challenge.
